Blythe Teh Engstroem
Viola
The American violinist and violist Blythe Teh Engstroem completed most of her studies at Indiana University in Bloomington with Nelli Shkolnikova, Mimi Zweig and Josef Gingold for violin and Atar Arad for viola. She then continued her studies with Andrés Cárdenes in Pittsburgh. B. Teh Engstroem is a passionate chamber musician who has had the honorhonour of collaborating with numerous artists, including Menahem Pressler, Yuja Wang, Renaud Capuçon, Leonidas Kavakos, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Kim Kashkashian, Lawrence Power, Nobuko Imai, Gary Hoffman and the Quatuor Ébène. She has been invited to numerous festivals and was involved in the founding of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, where she served as concertmaster of the violin sections and now conductsas the violasprincipal violist.
